EGGNOG

 Every year we drink Eggnog to welcome in the New Year. Here is a recipe (We used it once or twice many years ago but not lately.) 

12 Eggs 
1/2 c. sugar 
1/4 tsp. salt 
1 qt. heavy cream
2 qt. of milk or half and half (This makes one gallon) 
Nutmeg 

Beat yolks with 1/2 c. sugar and salt until very light. Beat heavy cream and add 1/2 c. sugar slowly until stiff. 
beat egg whites stiff and add 1/2c. of sugar slowly. Combine and bear until well blended. Beat in milk. Add nutmeg to taste (optional.)
